Hi, neighbors.
I’m a freelance professional photographer who lives on Woolsey Street.
In the past, my work has taken me to New York, Palm Springs, Seoul, Copenhagen, and Los Angeles.
Last year, it took me all the way to the Uplands, Willard Park, and the Claremont Hills.
It’s been an extremely hard year for all of us.
But walks around this neighborhood with my toddler have been one of my few bright spots.
Now, as we’ve reached the anniversary of one year living alongside the coronavirus, I’d like to give something back to this neighborhood.
This weekend (March 20–21), I’ll be offering free portrait shoots in an open air, pop-up backyard studio (weather permitting).
I hope it’ll provide you with a bright spot, help you remember your strength in these tough times, or commemorate the people you shared them with.
All spots have been taken - thanks for your interest!
SHOOT INFORMATION
SHOOT SPECIFICS
Shoots will take place in a pop-up photo studio set up in my backyard.
Appointments are available every 1 hour.
Shoots are expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.
You’re welcome to come on your own, or be photographed with those you live with.
There’s no pressure involved here! It’s intended to be fun and easy for participants. If you and your dog are over it after 10 minutes, totally fine. If your kids want to talk about how the lighting works for half the time, I’d love to chat!
Portrait session is free. You’ll receive 1 digital file of your choosing for digital download after the shoot.
COVID CONSIDERATIONS
My expectation is that all subjects will be photographed unmasked.
I will double-mask for the entire time.
Entire shoot will be outdoors, against an already set-up backdrop.
You will enter and leave through outdoor side gates. No indoor access will be permitted or necessary.
A fan will be circulating air around the portrait setup.
I will be at least 8 feet away from subjects at all times.
RIGHTS + USAGE
You’ll be asked to sign a release on-site that allows me to display a photograph from your shoot (of my choosing) on my website and include it in promotional materials.
After the shoot, you’ll be sent an online gallery from which you can choose your favorite image.
You’ll then receive that photograph as a high-resolution digital file, and are welcome to use it for personal purposes, including making prints.
This personal usage does not, however, include professional usage, such as your new work bio photo. Should you be interested in purchasing additional files or extending the usage specifications, I’ll happily discuss!
